The only positive thing about this place was its convenient location. It's right by the ring road, which is great for a quick stopover during a journey around Iceland. The spacious cottage had basic facilities, but it had what we needed. Plus, it was good value for the money. We took advantage of the nearby pool in Hofn and the Viking Village film set for a more relaxed day. The kids loved it. We also enjoyed the beautiful views of the mountains and the glacier tongues.
Arrived at the cottage and were instantly disappointed. The kitchen was in terrible condition, with burnt and melted worktops and hob buttons.

Our stay at Stafafell Cottages was simply amazing. The location was perfect, offering breathtaking views of the mountains and sea. We felt a sense of peace and tranquility that we hadn't experienced before. The cottage itself was spacious and well organized, with separate bedrooms for privacy. We were pleasantly surprised to have internet access, which is quite rare in Iceland. The hot water supply was abundant, allowing all of us to take refreshing showers. The nearby cottage was at a reasonable distance, ensuring our privacy. I highly recommend this place for a serene and rejuvenating getaway.
